Special CPF Housing Grant  (Effective 3rd March 2011)

 

Eligibility

- Families earning up to $2,250 a month

- One of the flat buyers must have worked continuously for at least one year when they apply to buy the flat (SHG can only be used as capital payment for the purchase of the new HDB flat)

(Families whose monthly household incomes do not exceed $1,500 can only buy a 2-room standard flat in the non-mature estates from the HDB)

CPF Housing Grants: [4] Enhanced Additional (AHG)

 

Grant Amount:

[Monthly Income]

$1500 or less – $40,000 Grant

$1501-$2000 – $35,000 Grant

$2001-$2500 – $30,000 Grant

$2501-$3000 – $25,000 Grant

$3001-$3500 – $20,000 Grant

$3501-$4000 – $15,000 Grant

$4001-$4500 – $10,000 Grant

$4501-$5000 – $5,000 Grant

 

Eligibility:

1] First-timer Citizen

2] Applicable for NEW or RESALE Flat

3] AT least 1 of the Flat buyer MUST have been working for 1-year before purchase of the HDB Flat

CPF Housing Grants: [3] Top-Up Grant

 

Previous Singles Grant recipients who marry a Citizen or Permanent Resident, can top-up to a Family Grant.

Also allows Singles Grant recipients who married non-citizens who have obtained citizenship/PR status to top-up to Family Grant.

Eligibility:

1] Gross monthly salary MUST not exceed $8000

2] Application MUST be within 6-months from the date of marriage/obtaining Citizenship

3] Amount of Top-up is the difference between Singles & Family Grant

4] NOT applicable for Bankrupts

 

CPF Housing Grants: [2] Singles Grant

Grant Amount:

1] 1 Single Citizen above 35-years old – $11,000

2] 2 Single Citizens above 35-years old – $22,000

3] 1 Single Citizen above 35-years old with Parents listed as co-applicants/occupiers – $20,000 (Higher-tier Singles Grant)

Eligibility:

1] Gross Monthly Income MUST NOT exceed $3000 for 1 Single Grant

2] Gross Monthly Income MUST NOT exceed $8000 for other pairings (2 Singles/Parents)

3] For 1 Single, cannot buy bigger than a 5-room Flat

4] MUST NOT own or have sold any Private property within the last 30-months

Note:

1] Taking the Grant is equal to having bought your first New Flat from HDB, Grant DOES NOT apply to NEW Flats

2] MUST stay in the Flat for 5-years (minimum occupation period)

3] MUST wait 5-years before submitting an application for a 2nd direct purchase

4] MUST NOT invest in Private property during the 5-years occupation period

5] MUST pay a Resale levy upon selling the Flat IF purchasing another direct Flat from HDB

6] For Higher-tier Grant, Parents are not to move out of the Flat for the 5-years

CPF Housing Grants: [1] Family Grant

 

Grant Amount: $30,000

[Additional $10,000 IF purchase a Flat within 2km of parents OR same Estate]

 

Eligibility:

1] Citizen or Permanent Resident

2] Married Couple

3] Above age of 21-years

4] Gross monthly household Income NOT exceeding $8000, $12,000 for extended family

5] Must NOT own or sold any Private property within the last 30-months

[IF 1 of the spouse isn’t a First-timer, can get half the amount of $15,000 OR $20,000]

 

Note:

1] Taking the Grant is equal to having bought your first New Flat from HDB, Grant DOES NOT apply to NEW Flats

2] MUST stay in the Flat for 5-years (minimum occupation period)

3] MUST wait 5-years before submitting an application for a 2nd direct purchase

4] MUST NOT invest in Private property during the 5-years occupation period

5] MUST pay a Resale levy upon selling the Flat IF purchasing another direct Flat from HDB

6] For 2 Citizens Grant is divided equally, For 1 Citizen & 1 PR Grant is given to the Citizen
