There are 68,887 private residential units in the pipeline, 34,266 units are still unsold (equivalent to about 3 years of supply based on the average take-up of about 11,400 units per year over the last 3 years)

HDB’s Resale Price Index (RPI) rose from 172.0 in 4th Quarter 2010 to 174.8 in the 1st Quarter 2011 (An increase of 1.6%).
Resale transactions fell by about 4%, from 6,454 cases in 4th Quarter 2010 to 6,228 cases in 1st Quarter 2011.
Median Cash-Over-Valuation (COV) amount has fallen by another $2,000 (or 9%) from $23,000 in 4th Quarter 2010 to $21,000 in 1st Quarter 2011.
The proportion of resale cases transacting above valuation remained at 96%.
Subletting transactions rose by 8% from 5,868 cases in 4th Quarter 2010 to 6,365 cases in 1st Quarter 2011.
Jurong West, Woodlands, Yishun and Choa Chu Kang remains the 4 most affordable HDB estates.
