“Yishun Dam” is No. 10 in CNNGo’s Singapore Nightspots
It seems Yishun Dam is "frequented by many fans of the “Initial-D” culture" according to cnngo.com. The article "10 reasons not to sleep in Singapore" said that car enthusiasts meet for races along this road late at night. Perhaps the later the night, the higher the chance one gets from catching some action from these enthusiasts in their vehicles here.
By itself, the Dam still gives wonderful night views of the reservoir with the nearby ships and islands.
I have passed by the Dam several times just before 12-midnight on my way back to camp when I was still serving my national service in Seletar, but did not manage to see the cars, maybe I wasn’t late enough..?

Visit to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (Part 2)
Went for a medical review with my Mom today, her kneecap is slowly healing but needs to remain in the cast for another month.
While she was having the cast redone, I had some time to walk around the hospital and took the pictures below…
Lots of greenery landscape around Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, it has a different feel from the other hospitals I have been to.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, they’ll help push the wheelchair over almost everytime we arrived at the hospital Taxi drop-off point.
Small garden beside the Yishun Pond.

Visit to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital
[The picture of the model above was taken at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital’s 1st Level]
My first visit to the new Khoo Teck Puat Hospital was for all the wrong reasons.
My dear Mom had a bad fall early Saturday morning and had to be sent to the hospital, the doctor diagnosed my Mom with Comminuted fracture of the Patella, which in layman terms means the kneecap had broke into several pieces.
Her left leg has to be kept in a Cast for 5-weeks and will require Surgery if the kneecap is unable to heal on its own.
Dear Readers,
Please take good care of your elderly folks at home, as we age our bones become weaker a fall may be more serious than it looks.
