Thank you for supporting this blog during the last 1.5-years.

Readership for this blog has increased from an initial 900 per month to the current 3300 per month on average, although this is not a fantastic statistic it has exceeded what I had expected when I first created it.

Thanks to advice from my friend John, I’ve decided to start a new site with my own domain.

The new site is an actual website, so it will be easier to navigate through some of the topics I have posted up or will post in future. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to transfer all content on this blog to the new one, but I will keep markdwg.wordpress.com untouched here…….at least until wordpress decides to remove it.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has announced that the Income ceiling for HDB flats will be increased to $10,000, it was capped at $8,000 for the last 17-years.

Other Measures announced during the National Day Rally 2011:

- 25,000 BTO flats to be released

- Combined household income ceiling for HDB flats raised to $10,000 from $8,000

- Combined household income ceiling for Executive Condos raised to $12,000 from $10,000

- Additional 7,000 rental units
